Expert Therapeutic Services

Our Residences

Kid Care Specialist Therapeutic Services is a well-known company that offers therapy, education, and specialized residential care to children and adolescents who have histories and behaviours that call for long-term treatments to be addressed. Ofsted has evaluated all of our houses for specialist therapeutic services as either Good or Outstanding.

An additional benefit of our specialized therapeutic services is that each home is equipped with a licensed psychologist thanks to our in-house psychology staff. As a cohesive team, we may collaborate systemically with the care and education professionals in addition to offering individual solutions. This improves understanding of the underlying causes of the behaviors and provides psychologically sound practices to support each child.

Our houses for specialized therapeutic services all have staff teams and management with years of expertise who are well-suited to their roles. Our superior staff retention guarantees that every service has teams of capable, experienced, and self-assured individuals to support the diverse clientele. The company's learning and development team, the assigned psychologist, the local safeguarding boards, and industry experts offer award-winning training to the personnel.

Provisions for One, Two, and Three Beds

Kids Care Specialist Therapeutic Services can provide high levels of support in small, loving homes with psychologically educated care. Some of the most vulnerable young people in society are supported by these homes. Their complicated demands frequently necessitate considerable multi-agency collaboration as well as individualized, person-centered treatment. The passage continues.

One-on-one care is provided in our solo, dual, and three-bed therapeutic homes, fostering the growth of sincere and solid relationships that enable young people to receive the necessary therapy. The in-house psychology team provides significant clinical assistance and supervision, a thorough training and development package, and a clear management framework to support care professionals.

Embrace Possibilities, Embrace Change

HSB 6 Bed Provisions: Education, Therapy, and Care

Although the young people we work with can be placed from anywhere in the nation, Kids Care Specialist Therapeutic Services can provide young males with holistic services that include care, education, and psychological therapy within 6 bedded services that are based around Greater Manchester and East Cheshire. At each site, the houses are rated as Excellent or Good for both Care and Education.

Every house included in this service includes a DfE-registered independent school on-site that can accommodate up to six boys between the ages of 11 and 18. The curriculum is customized and tailored by the schools to each student's unique needs. Each school has a full-time head teacher and a full-time teacher. Because of the reduced class sizes, the schools provide a substantial amount of individualized instruction in addition to a broad curriculum.

School and homework in partnership to make sure that the pupils' needs are satisfied and that successful results are obtained. The ICOPE initiative provides additional learning support by giving young people access to full-time college courses, training, and work opportunities, as well as evening classes, day programs with colleges and other providers, and employment chances.

The programme known as Individual Community Opportunities Planned Experiences (ICOPE)

The young people gain from the chance to participate in their community in a positive and safe way because all of the Kid Care Specialist Therapeutic Services HSB residences are located in the local areas. The ICOPE Programme of the Specialist Therapeutic Services provides support for this procedure. The multi-agency safety plan to handle less oversight and improve community access is called the ICOPE Programme.

ICOPE assists each person in putting into practice techniques created in collaboration with the therapy team so they can securely and efficiently handle any difficulties. It ties into the process of honing independence skills in order to get ready for a transition to independence or going back to live with family after placement. In keeping with the tenets of the Good Lives Model (Ward & Stewart, 2003) & (Chu, Koh, Zeng, & Teoh, 2015), it provides every young person with the chance to cultivate their interests and sense of self, and it facilitates progress assessments during the placement.

Counselling

Our "in-house" team of very talented and qualified therapy practitioners provides our Specialist Therapy Services. These consist of Senior Forensic and Clinical Psychologists, Lead Consultant Forensic Psychologists, and Forensic Psychologists in Training (who are directly supervised by licensed psychologists). Every one of our psychologists is a chartered member or an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and is registered with the Health Care Professions Council. The therapy staff at Specialist Therapeutic Services has vast expertise in working with a range of presenting needs and problems in both secure and community settings. These clients include adults, families, children and young people who come in with clinical concerns and forensic histories.

One of the ways we operate with Specialist Therapeutic Services is through a thorough and preliminary psychiatric and forensic evaluation. AIM-III, JSOAP, SAPROF, SAVRY, WISC-V, and TSCC are just a few examples of well-known instruments that are used in conjunction with clinical assessment to provide precise suggestions for both individual and systemic improvement.

A variety of evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy [Child and Adolescent Specific], Schema Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy, are delivered by the therapy team at Specialist Therapeutic Services with training and expertise. By using a tailored therapeutic approach, our forensic-focused intervention sessions seek to lower risk concerns. All interventions comply with pertinent guidelines from the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and are in line with the best available evidence at this time.

At Kid Care Services, we think that forming an effective "team around the child" requires multidisciplinary collaboration. Throughout the placement, the families and a variety of specialists in the fields of care, education, and health receive regular consultation and assistance from our therapeutic practitioners. We provide tailored psychological advice and guidance on positive behavioral management strategies, risk management approaches and methods, strategies to improve educational functioning, and strategies to improve family relationships after carefully evaluating the basis and scope of the required input.
